QMAP Events

The center will host various events of interest both to the scientific community working on related areas as well as events aimed at explaining to a wide audience the science we explore.

QMAP colloquium

The main regular event will be a QMAP colloquium which will be held on a monthly or bimonthly basis. It will bring high profile speakers to address audience of both physicists and mathematicians interested in the core topics of the QMAP center. See QMAP colloquium webpage for details.

QMAP conference

The inaugural QMAP conference, entitled, Recent Developments in Fields, Strings, and Gravity, took place in Dec 2016. Please visit the conference page linked above for details,

There will be an annual QMAP conference which where the QMAP members will present their research. This will consist of both expert talks and public talks for the wider campus community. The first QMAP conference is scheduled for spring 2018.

Affiliated seminar series

There are also weekly seminar series focused on particular topics:

  • QMAP FSG seminar: Thursdays 1:30pm in Physics 432
  • QMAP math seminar: Fridays 1:30 pm in Math 2112

QMAP workshops and summer schools

QMAP will also regularly organize conferences, workshops and summer schools. This will bring to the campus experts in respective research areas to discuss latest developments. Currently planned events are:
