Recent Developments in Fields, Strings, and Gravity
To celebrate the establishment of the new Center for Quantum Mathematics and Physics (QMAP) at UC Davis we are hosting a week long conference, which will take place in UC Davis, from December 12 to December 16, 2016. The general theme of the conference will be focussed on developments in quantum field theories, string theory, and quantum gravity over the past few years. We anticipate covering a wide range of topics of current interest in theoretical physics. The aim is to bring together various experts in these areas to review major advances, and to further progress by stimulating discussions amongst the participants. See Recent Developments in Fields, Strings and Gravity webpage for details.
California Amplitudes Meeting
A focus workshop on recent topic in scattering amplitudes, in particular mathematical aspects of positive Grassmannian and Amplituhedron, non-planar on-shell diagrams, ratio functions in N=4 SYM, symbols and the basis of hexagon functions, CHY formula, BCJ relations for effective field theories. June 7-9, 2016. See Amplitudes meeting page for details.
QMAP Opening Event
An opening reception for QMAP was held on Oct 29, 2015 in the Physics atrium between 5:00pm and 7:30pm. Details of the event, including posters presented during the reception, can be found at the Opening Reception page.
